The pub across the road made it easy to grab something to eat, and the hosts were so kind. Domaine de Hurlevent has two pools and a hot tub, plus a friendly cat and dog who seemed to think they were hosts too. They were great with kids. The place is air-conditioned and well kept, though it’s definitely unusual, with narrow hallways and period-style furniture.

We felt right at home in the clean, practical room, and the indoor and outdoor pools were superb. Jean and his partner welcomed us so warmly, then Jean made us a delicious dinner so we didn’t have to leave the estate. Breakfast was excellent too. A night at the Hurlevent Estate was such a pleasure. If you’re passing through the Lauragais region, don’t hesitate to stop in. Thanks to you both for sharing such lovely moments with us. The generous breakfast and convenient parking were much appreciated. Our room at Domaine d’Hurlevent was clean and well equipped, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. Their Staffordshire Bull Terrier deserves a mention too: such a sweet dog, though with that tough-guy look he could almost pass for a security guard!

After our 50 km ride along the Canal du Midi, we really didn’t want to head back out for dinner. We hadn’t booked ahead, but our host welcomed us so warmly and generously, and made us a delicious evening meal. Breakfast was excellent as well. A lovely night in a charming place. Thanks so much to Jean for such a friendly evening.
