The owners were friendly, responsive, and always available when we needed them. The building is right in the heart of Montignac-Lascaux, with the shops close by, and nearby parking made things much easier. Over three months I stayed for two weeks each month, mainly in the “Le Rouge” studio, plus one week in the “La Grotte” apartment. Both were well maintained and had the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. I’d happily recommend it. Thanks again to the owners for their hospitality and professionalism.

The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, and well located, but several things were frustrating. The air conditioning didn’t work, and using the toaster kept tripping the circuit breaker. The coffee maker was broken, and its replacement was cracked. Then at 10 PM there wasn’t even a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine.

The rest of the studio was okay, but the decor didn’t feel connected to the Périgord region, and I didn’t sleep a wink either night. I arrived at 7 pm for a family vacation to find the room at 10 degrees Celsius. The combined heating and air conditioning unit was very noisy and useless. It only got to a decent 17 degrees Celsius by the time I left. Cars woke me at 4:30 am, the shutters wouldn’t close, and the TV socket was loose, making the picture choppy.

The owner was friendly and quick to respond. The apartment itself was nice, though the amenities were very basic. It’s more suited to a family than four adults, since one bedroom has two single beds.
