FastHotel Montmarault - Auberge du Grand Champ

The breakfast was decent, though the setup seemed designed to keep portions small. The location is handy, close to the motorway but still quiet, with a fast charger next door. The motel itself was a letdown: the beds were uncomfortable, the pillows lumpy, the room unclean, and the towels almost see-through.

The staff were warm and attentive, and it was nice to find a proper dining room and menu at a budget chain. The accessible room was welcoming, with a large walk-in shower; there were ramps outside and convenient disabled parking, which helped since I have poor mobility and can't manage steps. It's easy to find near the motorway, but we heard no traffic. We'll definitely come back, though sadly not often enough to earn a loyalty card. Thanks for a great stay.

The restaurant's right in the hotel, so there's no need to head elsewhere, and the food was good with friendly staff. Parking the motorcycle right outside the room made unloading easy, and it stayed in view. A handy place for a car or motorbike trip. The price seemed fair, though I think it could be a little lower.

The bill the next morning was a lovely surprise, really reasonable. We were on our way south and arrived around 8:30 pm in a torrential storm. Reception were fantastic and put us close to our van. Even though we got to the restaurant just five minutes before closing, they served us politely and efficiently. The room was cosy and no-frills, but everything worked, especially the shower, and the beds were very comfortable. Despite being near a main road, it was quiet. Great stay, highly recommend.
