I had a fantastic weekend and can’t wait to come back in another season, to see how the changing light and atmosphere shape this remarkable place. The grounds are made for slowing down, with abundant flowers and plants, a river, canals, waterfalls, and lots of variety that feels calm and peaceful. Little paths wind through the park, so you can wander among nature without getting lost. The beautifully prepared table d’hôtes was a highlight too, with food full of flavor, thought, and subtlety.

We tried the cocoon for a night, the unusual bubble suspended among the trees. It’s an original experience worth having once, though for a longer visit we’d probably pick one of the lovely rooms at La Forge. The grounds are stunning and peaceful, a place unlike anywhere else. Both dinner and breakfast were generous and delicious, made just for us with exceptionally high-quality ingredients.

You leave wishing you could stay. The river is magnificent, and the immaculate park has incredible trees and a sweet little pond. It’s far from neighbors, pristine, and very, very, very quiet and relaxing. We were welcomed warmly and they were accommodating. The food was good too.

For our romantic weekend, we rented a comfortable, pleasant little chalet and made great use of the terrace jacuzzi. It was wonderful. The cook’s wife gave us a warm welcome. She and the cook are a discreet but friendly couple, and their homemade dinners and breakfasts were delicious, absolutely perfect!

What a lovely walk around the grounds, with a beautiful lake. The building and setting are magnificent, the welcome was warm, and dinner and breakfast were both very good and generous. There was one drawback: construction work was going on all over the grounds, and it took away some of the charm.
