It was a 100-degree day, so the A/C was very welcome. This is one of only two restaurants open in Montolieu on Tuesdays. We were told it would take about 45 minutes to get a table inside, so we did a little shopping and came back, only to be told they weren’t seating anyone else because there was just one chef. The only other restaurant also said they couldn’t seat us. This was all well before the 2pm closing time. If you’re visiting on a Tuesday, get there early!

My first visit, and I felt welcome right away. John and Lindsay are lovely hosts, and the pizzas were the best I’ve had, freshly made with a great choice of toppings. Thanks, John 😊 The terrace overlooking the garden has a lovely feel and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Mallast was such a lovely experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the pizza was delicious, and the owner was very nice. She shared a bit about the building and her business, and we admire her and wish her the best with the project. If we come back to France, we’ll visit again without hesitation. Thank you!

A little taste of the UK, with great fish and chips: the fish was fresh, fluffy, and crunchy, and the tartar sauce was homemade. The owners are friendly too.

The service was fast and friendly, and bilingual. For fantastic fish and chips with amazing homemade tartar sauce, this is the place to go!
