Derek and Monique were warm, friendly, and full of useful information. The restored textile mill is beautifully done, with a contemporary style that respects its history by the river Dure. My room was spotless, finished to a high standard, and had all the modern comforts. The hosts have thought of everything needed for a comfortable stay. A breathtakingly beautiful place.

The Wrights make you feel at home in Montolieu, and the Maison de Textile is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Derek and Monique bring award-winning bed and breakfast experience and great energy to their hospitality. Their ties to the village and its arts and provincial French way of life feel closely connected to the building’s legacy. It’s a fantastic getaway near places like Carcassonne, Toulousse, and Mirepoix, with plenty more nearby. The Maison de Textile shows how history can be given new life with a modern touch while preserving the past without idolizing it. Thanks for a great stay!
