Hôtel Arc Paris Porte d’Orléans

We chose the hotel because it was near Orly airport and one of the cheapest options in expensive Paris. The neighborhood was pleasant and quiet, with plenty of places to eat. The room was much smaller than the website photos suggested. The bathroom was large and had hot water all the time, but the WiFi didn’t work well consistently. There was a TV in the room, though we didn’t use it. Metro line 4, with very central stops, is just 200m away. Bolt taxi rides to and from the airport cost only 18€ and 14€, much less than the metro. You can leave your bags at the hotel for free if you check in early or have a late flight.

Getting around is convenient, with the city close by and different transport options. The room is very small, though, with no space even for luggage, and there’s no fridge or water boiler. It’s a noisy area, and sounds carry into the room, making it hard to sleep. Breakfast was a joke: dry bread with jam, sticky dry cheese, and nothing else. There was always a spoon or fork missing. Housekeeping skipped my request on the first day, and when I got back to the hotel at 14:55 the next day, the room still hadn’t been cleaned. I absolutely don’t recommend this place.

The location is amazing, close to several metro lines. The rooms were very good, the service was good, and the people were really nice.

The rooms are tiny, the walls are made of wood, and the staff were unfriendly. In summer there was hardly any air conditioning; I could barely get a fan. Nobody cleaned the room until I insisted, and even then they cleaned it only once. Breakfast was small and the same every day. This is a horrible hotel, and honestly I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I’d give it zero or less.
