We were about a 10-15 minute walk from super Morzine with ski gear, and the restaurant was great. The bar and front-of-house team were really accommodating, and they made a special effort on New Year’s Eve. The receptionist was super friendly and knew the area well. Fantastic place, the staff can’t do enough for you.

The ski setup was handy. Booking through the hotel gets you a discount code for Intersport. If you rent from them, you can go in the day before from 4-6pm to be measured; they deliver the skis to the hotel at 6pm. On the last rental day, leave them in the wooden box in the ski room and they pick them up at 6pm. There’s a locker room and a slightly heated boot room. The benches in the locker room wobble, but its outside door is useful for catching frequent buses to the lifts and gondolas at Pleney or Les Prodains. We stayed half board and I’m gluten-free. Breakfast has some gluten-free bread, though it’s very close to the regular bread. The rest is good: eggs you boil to your preferred softness, hot bacon, natural and other yoghurts, fresh fruit including bananas and dark cherries, tea and coffee, and fresh orange juice you squeeze yourself. I brought gluten-free porridge sachets, and the kitchen kindly microwaved them with milk for me. Dinner was generally good for gluten-free options, better than at many places because they understand coeliac requirements. Some dishes are naturally gluten-free and they can adapt others. There are potatoes, bread if you ask for butter, soup, some salads, duck, fish such as trout and salmon, plus ice cream, sorbets and meringue dessert. Chips aren’t gluten-free because they’re cooked in a fryer with other food. Some fish, like salmon, is served raw, so ask. The allergen menu isn’t very helpful: it marks gluten on most dishes, even ice cream that can be served without the usual biscotti crumb. The rooms have kettles, tea bags, coffee sachets, a small fridge, ensuite showers, radiators and a little towel heater in the bathroom. You can ask at the bar for a jug of milk. There’s a balcony with a mountain view. The hotel has lifts, though there are quite a few stairs too. More bathroom towel hooks would help, as there’s only one right near the toilet. A good choice for skiing in Morzine-Les Gets and Avoriaz.

A very pleasant stay in a nice hotel with a friendly feel and helpful staff. The bed was a bit short, though.

We had a beautiful stay. The service was excellent, and our room was clean with a comfortable bed.
