The early flight worked out well from here: Dani arranged a local taxi to Grenoble airport, about a 15-minute drive through the French countryside. We felt so welcome in Marion & Dani’s home, and the dinner was superb. I really enjoyed the wine-tasting lessons too. Breakfast came with Marion’s delicious homemade scones and jam, plus her own yogurt. The rooms were gorgeous, with lovely decor and top-class beds and linens. Villa Calma is a fantastic place run by a lovely couple, and I’d definitely recommend it. I hope to come back.

The spa and sauna were such a treat, especially drying off by the wood fire afterward. There’s also a stove, and relaxing in front of it after the spa was pure bliss. You can feel how much care and passion went into Villa Calma. My suite was comfortable, nicely decorated, and had excellent bedding; the heating was just right for this time of year. The park and peaceful setting must be even more beautiful in summer, though they were magnificent in winter too. The stable Wi-Fi was handy for getting work done, especially on a longer stay. I felt at ease right away thanks to the warm, attentive, professional welcome. Breakfast in the beautiful veranda, with snowflakes falling outside, felt magical. A wonderful discovery for relaxing and recharging in nature. I’d be very happy to return.

The location is handy for the Laquais racetrack, close enough for easy access but far enough away that there was no noise or disturbance. Breakfast in the veranda was a real treat, with high-quality local products. I found the room very comfortable, spotless, and well equipped, and the spa made the stay even more relaxing. The welcome was warm. A great stay at this bed and breakfast!
