We loved the spa beneath its glass roof, especially the view of the night sky while we relaxed. The property is historic, but Sylvie and Gerard have worked hard to keep the facilities current, and they were better than those in many modern hotels I've stayed in. Breakfast is a must. The hosts cook wonderfully with ingredients from their property and nearby farms, and Sylvie lays everything out beautifully. It was a great start to our days in Alsace. Sylvie and Gerard are gracious, thoughtful hosts who clearly put a lot of care into making the place special. This was an amazing home base for our adventures in the French countryside. Alsace perfection, I'd give it six stars if I could!

The hosts did so much to make our stay feel special, and breakfast was incredible, with delicious homemade food and local ingredients. The place is cosy and romantic, with thoughtful, authentic touches in the room and throughout the house. Thank you so much!

For over twenty years, a woman devoted to this property has worked tirelessly to bring the grand old farmhouse back to its former glory and restore its surroundings. She saw to it that this abandoned building regained its remarkable beauty. Everything has been carefully brought back to life, from each room and ceiling to every door, floor, and wall, with expert guidance from the French Heritage Buildings Authority. The nearby meadows, planted with fruit trees, spark the imagination and offer a glimpse back to the Middle Ages, when local lords used the building as a tax collection point. Now fully renovated, this beautiful old farmhouse welcomes visitors for pleasant stays near Murbach Abbey.
