The shower block was in good shape, and getting to the water was easy. Our pitch had no shade in 40° heat, though they moved us to a better spot after I complained. The site was almost empty, so I did wonder why we’d been put there to begin with. It’s a lovely riverside place, but town is about a mile away up a steep walk. There was a big group of young people staying, and they behaved really well. At night you can hear the frogs. Campers get a discount on canoeing, and we had a lovely afternoon paddling down the river.

Plenty of room to spread out, with cottages as well as pitches for campervans. There are lots of sports to try, walking trails, and kayaking close by. The river is very clean, but bring river shoes. Facilities are excellent.

The campsite was clean and nice, but the noise every night was awful. We had to call security each time, and one night the Police came to quiet our neighbours, a group of 10 young people. The owner tried talking to them but couldn't get them to settle down.

Nice place, but that kitchen really needs to stay open later. 12-2pm just doesn't work well.

We planned on two days and ended up staying four. The village and river are both close, the pitches are spacious, and the place itself is beautiful. The staff were great. Everything was fine.
