ibis budget Nanterre La Défense

A reasonably priced, clean, well-kept hotel in Paris. It’s accessible by bus, metro, or RER, and the staff were very helpful. Our room was clean and serviced on time each day. There’s internet TV, and breakfast is available on request. The lobby vending machine has both hot and cold drinks, plus snacks.

With the pull-down third bed open, getting into our double bed meant shuffling around the foot of it. There was no space between the double and single beds, and the rooms are extremely small and cramped. We kept banging our toes on the door stopper. There’s only about a foot and a half between the beds and the wall, with a shelf around six feet off the floor, so getting to the bathroom meant ducking and squeezing past. The cleaners knock once and then come straight in.

The bus links made it easy to get to Nanterre Ville, La Défense, and nearby offices, and the quiet setting helped us sleep. Hotel ibis Budget Nanterre is a reliable, affordable choice for a short business trip or quick visit to the area. My room was compact but thoughtfully laid out, with good lighting, a clean bed, and the basics you’d expect. Housekeeping kept it fresh and tidy, and the reception team were polite and helpful. Check-in and checkout were smooth. Breakfast was simple but decent, with fresh bread, pastries, coffee, and juice. The bed was comfortable, the staff efficient, and the price was good for the location. Rooms are small, as you’d expect at an ibis Budget, and amenities are limited, but it delivers what it promises.

We booked two family rooms for three nights, with beds for the children, but our booking was cancelled after I called to say I’d be late for check-in because of an accident on the motorway. Later, he offered a room at a new price, which was disappointing. Both rooms had completely blocked bathroom sinks. I reported it several times, but nobody took care of it. The central AC kept switching off, about 30 minutes after staff turned it back on following my complaints. The children’s bed wasn’t provided, so my three-year-old son had to share my single bed. Those last three nights were very difficult.
