The rooms themselves are comfortable, and the tram stops right outside, with the city center nearby. The surrounding area isn’t very nice, though, and the building looks quite unattractive from outside. For the price it was fair enough, but the stay felt more like a three-star than a four-star experience. Breakfast was repetitive and disappointing, and front desk service was inconsistent. I’ll probably choose somewhere else next time.

The breakfast was on the small side, but everything tasted delicious and good quality. Our room was clean and spacious, and the hotel had what we needed despite not being brand new. Thibault and the reception team were especially welcoming and helpful. Just below the street there’s a handy Carrefour and a fantastic Moroccan café. We had a great stay at Novotel Nantes Centre Bord de Loire!

The location worked perfectly for us: it’s right by a tram stop that goes to the old city, while staying outside the city center. Service was great, and they offered us use of the kitchen. Once we unfolded the couch into a second bed, though, the room felt so cramped there was nowhere to sit.
