Château de la Huberdière

Our dinner on the terrace with the other guests on our first evening was lovely, a night we'll remember. Breakfast was delicious too. The owners looked after us with real kindness and attention. For a few days, the beautiful Château felt like home. The room was calm and lovely, with a view across the grounds, and the location was superb. We'll certainly come back.

The chateau's huge library could have kept me occupied for weeks. Patrick and his lovely wife made our stay a lot of fun, and my wife and I can't wait to return. We also enjoyed a lovely group dinner in the chateau.

The room was uncomfortably hot, and we couldn't bear the old smell in the chateau. We left after an hour and found somewhere else to stay. We had arrived about 90 minutes before we should have. We would have been happy to leave, but he kept reminding us that we shouldn't have come before 4:00 because he has a life. He also said not to eat in our rooms because that attracts unwanted visitors, and told us that's why he has 4 cats.

Our wedding day at the Château was beautiful and unforgettable. The place is stunning, with a lovely view, and exactly what we were looking for. Ludovica and Patrick were wonderful from the planning right through the day itself, attentive to our requests and helping make it even more special. The food was fresh and delicious. All our guests had an amazing time, and we'll remember it forever. We absolutely recommend it.
