The food was nicely presented, tasty, and a high standard, and the price was very affordable. I stayed here while visiting war graves. It’s a small hotel just off the motorway, with friendly, polite staff. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and free drinking water was provided.

We stopped by just for lunch at the restaurant and had a perfect meal on the lovely terrace. Everyone welcomed us warmly. There’s onsite parking, and the hotel sits back in a quiet area. We’ll definitely come back.

The room was very comfortable, with a large warm bed and a choice of pillows described on the wall. There’s also a safe in the wardrobe. The shower space is large and the spray is powerful, and the room was clean. We were on a tour and couldn’t plan a meal in advance, so the pre booking option didn’t work for us. The green scheme is a nice idea: make your own bed and reuse towels, then hang the green tag on the door overnight to get a €5 bar voucher in your room at breakfast. They also ask you to turn down the thermostat overnight to save energy, like at home. Chickens were outside each morning, but they didn’t crow. Breakfast facilities were great. It’s a good base if you have a car, and there were French families staying when we visited.

The staff were friendly, and the clean, comfortable rooms made this a nice place to stay. I did miss having milk in the room for my morning tea, though. They provide paper cups for tea and coffee, and proper cups with milk would be better.

It was a lovely hotel for our coach trip, and the quiet location suited us perfectly. There isn’t much around the hotel, so it’s very peaceful.
