Hotel Saint Alban

We stayed four nights while touring the area and would certainly return next time we’re nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was a great size, and breakfast was good. We had room 104, overlooking the front of the property. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent on both nights we ate there. It’s very dog friendly. We didn’t bring a dog, but the dogs there were well behaved and friendly, so they didn’t bother us at all. If you’re travelling with your pooch, St Alban is an excellent choice.

We slept so well in the comfortable bed, and our room looked out over the front garden. The old manor house has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, with a small pool and space for petanque and table tennis. The food was excellent, and the restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday. There was some traffic noise in the morning despite the quiet village, but you can close the shutters and windows, and the room has good air conditioning. The staff were very friendly. A great place to stay.

The private, secure, free parking was a must for us, and the hotel ticked all our boxes for a one-night stop before driving to Spain. We were able to check in around 13:00, which we really appreciated, then spend the afternoon by and in the spacious pool. The small hotel is beautiful and charming, with a clean room full of character and a very comfortable king-size bed. The staff welcomed us warmly. Dinner in the garden was an amazing gastronomic experience, served with enthusiasm, flair, and a real passion for wine, all at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was also excellent. We’ll remember this stay for a long time, and I hope to find a similar experience along the main international routes in France.

The dinner deserves a special mention. The meals were delicious and presented like those in a high-class restaurant. This hotel brings a sense of harmony and helps restore your energy after travelling. It has great aesthetics throughout. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated, and the historic building looks fresh and recently renovated. It’s a boutique hotel with extensive grounds, a fish pond, cozy outdoor spots, and a pool. The large private parking area is tucked behind the main building. The facilities are thoughtfully designed and cleverly organized. Absolutely recommended!
