Aparthotel Adagio Access Nice Magnan

I stayed Thursday through Monday, working remotely and spending the weekend there. It worked really well for that. The beach was close enough for a quick swim after work, and the tram made other parts of the city easy to reach. I'd actually suggest renting an electric bike, though, because the ride along the beach is amazing. The decor and amenities are simple, but there's a very practical shared laundry room. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was good value for money.

**The good bits:** The location is handy for the tram and beach. There's a cold water dispenser on the ground floor, and reception is open 24 hours. **The problems:** We booked a studio with a balcony and two beds, but on arrival were told only one-bed rooms were available. They said they'd given us two sets of sheets and towels, but in the first room there was only one set. The lights there were broken too. Reception moved us to a different room, without a balcony, but still charged us the balcony rate. I stayed in touch with customer service to get the difference refunded, and an edit dated 16/05/25 said the refund was being processed. The first bathroom smelled of smoke, and the bathroom in the second room had clearly just been used. The second room's hallway light didn't work. We were told the technician wouldn't arrive until Monday, though we checked in on Saturday, so we left it alone. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything, which could be a problem if you're a light sleeper. The shower head leaked from the side, but that wasn't a big deal. Only one elevator worked during our stay, and the hall carpets were heavily stained and overdue for cleaning or replacement. We were given one physical key, which was inconvenient when traveling with someone else. We'd have stayed somewhere else if we could, but our booking was nonrefundable by then, so we were stuck.

Mosquitoes kept bothering me all night and I couldn't get any rest. The room itself was in bad shape, with a strong drain-like smell, a leaking shower head, and spider webs in several corners. The service made the stay worse. Staff were dismissive and unhelpful, and brushed off my concerns. I sent a follow-up email with detailed complaints but got vague, unprofessional replies and no sign they intended to sort anything out. The hotel needs better maintenance, pest control, and customer service. I wouldn't recommend it, especially if comfort and peace of mind matter to you.

The people here are amazing and take care of you. You can count on them for whatever you need. There's a nice pool, and you're close to the shops, the seafront, downtown, and everything else. Really recommend it.
