A lovely place to get out of the summer heat, with shady streets and a nice breeze. There are lots of little shops selling food and souvenirs like soaps and candles. Highly recommended.

Vieux Nice is wonderful, and you really should visit. The old town is special, joining up with Promenade des Anglais at the end. Highly recommend it.

Climb Colline du Château for a view over the city and sea, and look out for the Baroque churches such as Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate. Vieux Nice is the historic center, with its narrow lanes, colorful townhouses, and Mediterranean feel. Cours Saleya is a highlight for the flower market and local food. I highly recommend a visit.
