Hôtel Danemark

We stayed two nights with two friends in a triple room. It was quiet at night, comfortable in temperature at the end of April, clean, with a good shower and comfortable beds. The tram line is close, and you can come directly from the airport on L2 toward Port Lympia. A one-way ticket costs 1.70 euro if bought through the app. It's about a 15-minute walk to the main city area, which suited us, and around 20 minutes to the train station. There was a kettle, but only paper cups, which made hot drinks tricky. Keep in mind there's no tea or coffee provided, so we brought our own. Good for a short stay, though a bit basic for a longer one.

The location worked really well for us, with lots of beaches, beach clubs, and the tram nearby. The price was low, so I expected a few things to be basic, but some essentials were lacking. There was a cockroach in the lobby once, the WiFi was weak, and our towels weren’t changed every day. The toilet was tiny, hard to move around in, and separated from the room by a folding screen instead of a proper door. It also wasn’t clean. You could pick this hotel if price is your main concern, but be prepared for very limited service.

My room was small, especially the shower, but I still really liked it. It was bright, clean, and looked after, with a welcoming, homey feel rather than anything fancy. The owner was lovely and courteous. When I wasn’t feeling well, he helped me get assistance and let me check out later so I could rest before continuing my travels. Merci Beaucoup 😘

The rooms were clean and nice, but the noise made it hard to stay. Every little sound carried through the hotel, so I could hear people talking, doors opening and closing, and even toilet activity. Also, the website says breakfast is available, but the hotel doesn’t actually offer it.
