Faubourg Montmartre

I wouldn’t give this more than one star, and would choose none if that were an option. The positive reviews written in French looked suspicious to me, and I wondered if they were fake identities posted by the property because they were all in French. There was no cleanliness. Dust and insects of all sizes were everywhere, and the floor was sticky with something unknown. I left my shoes by the bed to shower and was horrified to find several large bugs circling them, including a cockroach. The next morning I woke to a stink and found a rash on my arm, which was most likely from the bugs, lice, and dust mites around the place. The staff were no better. The older woman in pink spoke only French and either had ten sets of the same outfit or never changed clothes. Another woman, who goes by Gupta, had foul manners, smoked around the place all the time, and was rude to everyone. Dear traveler, avoid this place like the plague. You’d do better sleeping under a bridge on cardboard than spending a minute here.
