For Australians living in, working in, or visiting France, this department store is much like Myers or David Jones. It’s modern inside, with the luxury brands you’d expect as well as newer, high-quality labels to discover.

I’ve visited Gallery Lafayette in both Paris and Nice, and I prefer the Paris one. The service and selection differ between them. I did enjoy having coffee on the top floor, though. The architecture is beautiful, it’s centrally located, and the tram makes it easy to get to.
I came here two days in a row. It’s a good place to shop for bags and gifts, and Level 4 handles tax refunds if you spend over 100 euros. There are lots of brands, including COACH, Tommy Hilfiger, and Michael Kors. Recommended, and it’s close to the train, food, and the beach.
Right in the city centre, Galeries Lafayette Nice Masséna is a beautiful, upscale place to shop. The bright, elegant store has a strong range of luxury fashion, premium beauty, and accessories. It’s a stylish stop for browsing refined collections, discovering designers, or treating yourself while exploring Nice, just steps from Place Masséna.
The city’s architecture is incredible, with so much beauty and history. I’d recommend visiting with the whole family. Parking was the one drawback for me: it took 40 minutes to find a suitable free spot.
