Le Petit Trianon et Le Charme des Suites

I couldn’t find anything to fault. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the shower was a highlight, especially after staying in a hostel and coming back from the beach. The location is incredible, near both the beach and old town, but quiet at any time of day. The hosts were attentive, helpful and very kind. I had an amazing time in Nice and will be back to stay here again.

I felt at home here and ended up extending my stay several times, spending four weeks in total. The host was so caring and welcoming, and did her best to meet each guest's individual wishes. The location is central in the Carré d'Or, close to the beach, on a quiet, tidy street with elegant boutiques and no cars. My room was modern, stylishly furnished, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. Everything was very clean and smelled fresh. I'll remember this stay fondly and hope to come back soon.

The room itself was nice, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the location was great, but I don't think I'll book here again. There were no beach towels, which I expected at a beach destination when traveling from out of town, though there was an umbrella in the closet. The fridge didn't work, and I had to track down the host for more toilet paper. They were hard to find and communicate with. There wasn't much guidance on entering the hotel. I got in only because someone else happened to be entering the building. It also wasn't publicly stated that the hotel is up a lot of stairs on the third floor, or second floor by European counting. Carrying luggage in hot weather was unpleasant, and I wish this had been made clear. I left a card in the room to keep the air conditioning on, but apparently that wasn't allowed and the rule wasn't posted. I was paying for the room and didn't see why I couldn't choose to run it. Staff entered despite my do not disturb sign to remove my card, which felt like an invasion of privacy.

The owner and her son were pleasant and helpful, and the service was hospitable throughout. My economy room was small, but fair for the price, and the beach was less than a five-minute walk away. They can bring a fresh breakfast to the room for €8. The only issue was an electricity outage in my room. They had an electrician there within ten minutes, and it was fixed. I'd be happy to come back to Nice and stay again.
