The location is handy, with Nice Riquier Train Station nearby for trips to Monaco, Canne and Ventimiglia, and the Tram Mainline at Republique for getting around. The city tax was also surprisingly low, just 10 euro for 4 days for our family of four. If you’re fine with very basic rooms and service, that may work for you. For us, the stay was very disappointing. We arrived around 12am after a long journey with two children and were told no rooms would be ready until after 3pm. We asked about paying for early check-in and were told it was possible, but the room would still take an hour. When we returned at 3pm, we paid a €50 deposit in case of smoking, damage, or missing items, something I’d never encountered before. Check-in was done by 3.45pm, but the room still wasn’t ready, so we waited another 20 minutes with two tired kids and an increasingly miserable wife. They refunded the deposit around 6pm, while checkout was at 10am. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked, but it was extremely bare. There was no hair dryer, iron, phone, wardrobe, fridge, bedside table, or towel rack, and only a handful of TV channels worked. I’d expect basics at a budget hotel, but not quite this many things missing. We travel 4-5 times a year, and budget hotels around Europe usually give much better service. This place felt poor from the start. It might suit a trip with mates more than a family stay.

We had a lovely seven-night stay at Easyhotel. The location is hard to beat: about a five-minute walk to Nice Riquier station for trains to Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, and Eze. A small shopping centre with one of the biggest Carrefour supermarkets in Nice is around the corner. The Old Town is about 20 minutes away on foot, and the tram to the airport is a 10-minute walk away, followed by a ride of roughly half an hour. There are also corner shops on nearby streets and restaurants and shops about 10 minutes away. Our room was clean and fairly spacious for two, with a bathtub we appreciated after hiking up Nietzche's Chermin in Eze. It had the bare basics, which was fine for us since we only needed somewhere to shower and sleep. At £50/night in October, it made sense that there was no coffee or tea, kettle, cups, or safe. There’s no daily room service, towel changes, pillow fluffing, calls, turndown service, or inter-room phones either. We didn’t need those extras, and were happy not to pay for them. A room service charge applies if you want it, though we got one free service because we stayed more than three nights. Breakfast costs €12.5 each, but what we saw was cold cuts and cereal, so we skipped it. There are plenty of boulangeries and patisseries nearby, and McD's is around the corner. You can ask reception for fresh towels, hair dryers, and loo rolls. There’s a hot and cold water dispenser by the dining area, so bringing a water bottle or flask is useful. Bag drop is available for 5 euros. For a budget stay focused on seeing the sights, I’d recommend it. It was much better than some so-called 3/4 star hotels in London at £200 a night. If you want a fuller hotel experience, this probably won’t suit you.

The room was clean, and the hotel is near the city center. Still, be careful with your reservation. I checked the guest count twice before booking, but somehow their webpage seems to have made an error and booked us a room for two when there were three of us. My email asking about it got no reply, and we had to pay extra at the hotel. They didn’t help at the time. After I filled in their survey, they said they had emailed before our arrival and couldn’t do anything because of that. But no message had reached me. Later, the company emailed to say they’d sent it to the wrong email address at first and had fixed the problem we experienced. Thanks to them for communicating and helping.

The location is great and the reception staff are really friendly. It’s a good budget hotel and everything was fine, though it was missing a hair dryer, a bin for the room, and small towels.

I had an AWSOME stay here. The service, rooms, and location were all awesome. I’d recommend easyHotel to tourists, or anyone staying for 2 to 4 or 5 days. Thanks for making such a wonderfull stay and vacation for me and my family.
