The service was nice and the location was great. The room itself was okay, but the amenities felt basic for the price. There was no iron or coffee capsules. There was also a strange, unpleasant smell in the lobby and halls. The rooms were very loud. I could hear my neighbours' whole conversation through the connecting kitchen door. Everything felt cheap: one door was broken, the sink was clogged, and the bathroom door handle came off when I pulled it.

The location is superb, and the apartment had plenty of useful equipment: a washing machine, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, oven, electric stove, fridge, dishwasher, and lots of cups and plates. The toilet and bathroom are separate, and the bathroom has two basins. We stayed four nights for €1308, and I expected more at that price. The service felt like a budget hotel despite the premium cost. Getting in was frustrating: there was no message before arrival, and when we got there around 4:00 PM, the Residence reception was unattended and the entrance locked. A note sent us to the hotel next door, about 200 meters away. It was raining, then hail came. The lobby was dark, and the three front desk staff, Eric, Irene, and Agathe, showed little interest in helping, even though I understand they had rules to follow. I knew about the €500 holding deposit and thought it was reasonable. But nowhere on the website or booking platform did it say a physical credit card was required. In 2025, PayWave is accepted almost everywhere, so this caught me off guard. A message beforehand could have prevented the problem. They kept asking for my card number, which I didn't feel safe sharing with strangers. I had to walk back to another building in heavy rain and hail to get my card while my wife waited elsewhere with the suitcases. The bedroom air conditioning wasn't cooling properly, and although I called reception, no technician came. The room was reasonably clean but not spotless. There was a used tissue and cotton stick left by the last guest. The corridor smelled strange, probably from poor ventilation. Gaps in the curtains let light in, and they weren't blackout curtains. The coffee machine had no capsules, and those cost extra. The air conditioning was noisy even at its lowest setting, like sitting on an airplane. The mattress was too soft for my taste. We heard a dog barking outside and people slamming doors at midnight. The building is only about 5 meters from the next one, which made the surroundings feel cramped. There was just one tiny elevator for the whole building. Two people with two suitcases could barely fit, and the doors struggled to close. Problem-solving and communication weren't what I'd expect for a hotel at this price. When I called to ask the Wi-Fi password, they told me to read the 64-page booklet on the table instead of just answering. The password was only four letters long. If you're sensitive to light or a light sleeper, the room may not suit you. Light comes through gaps in the curtains, and late at night you may hear dogs barking or people drinking and talking. It's not very loud, but noticeable when it's quiet.

They didn't provide enough towels or sheets for a third person, even though I mentioned that when booking. We also sometimes had no hot water for showers, and small toiletries would randomly disappear.
