The host was kind and helpful, and the room was clean and cozy. Keep in mind that most rooms share bathrooms. The listing photos gave the wrong impression, since the bathtub shown wasn't there. Restaurants are a long way off, so bring food or eat before you arrive. From the right side of the building, the view over Colmar is exceptional.

We hadn't realized the place was so far up the mountain, but the drive was worth it. The room was beautiful, with a really lovely aesthetic, and breakfast was homemade and just the right amount.

The house still has its local Alsatian character, which made the stay feel immersive, and the beds were excellent. It's also well placed near Colmar and at the meeting point of hiking trails, a real plus if you enjoy walking. The guesthouse was clean, and both hosts were welcoming and clearly talented in the kitchen.
