I enjoyed my stay, and the team were a big part of that. It was a very busy weekend because of a large event, but everyone was organized and lovely. The woman at reception seemed to be everywhere nonstop and was especially kind to me. I told the team how much I appreciated them. My room was small, and so were the beds, but it worked for what I needed. I'd read plenty of negative reviews and understand some guests' frustrations with a four-star hotel, but it was fine for me. Thanks to everyone. I stayed in January, though I can't work out why the review form wouldn't let me select that instead of February.

I was ready to overlook the terrible service and the expensive, tasteless food, but finding the TV on when I returned that evening crossed a line. I'd put up a “Do Not Disturb” sign, so someone had entered my room and watched it. That's unacceptable.

The woman at reception was the one bright spot: she was friendly, helpful, and able to translate. A man working there seemed irritable and barely interested in helping. He ignored what I needed and seemed more focused on arguing with her than finding out how he could assist. I wouldn't recommend this place. It's hard to see how it has four stars; two at most seems more like it.

We ate dinner at chat noir in the hotel. It was okay, but nothing memorable. Rain kept us off the patio, and the dining room was pretty meh.
