We only stayed one night, but it was a very pleasant visit. The room was lovely, with a great bed and shower. Service felt posh without being over the top. For instance, I bought two glasses of wine at the bar for our room and was allowed to carry them upstairs myself instead of waiting for someone to bring them.

A comfortable, well-run hotel with welcoming staff who respond quickly. They even remembered our name at checkout after four nights. It's a great base for walking around Nimes, then coming back for dinner in the bar, brasserie, or two-star restaurant.

The hotel looks beautiful, feels well renovated, and is in a good location. Our room was clean and modern. The service didn't seem up to five-star standard, though, and the bar and breakfast felt overpriced for the quality, choice, and service. Dinner was also expensive: one portion of fries cost 14 euros. Breakfast was 36 euros per person, far too much for a buffet with very slow service and staff who weren't very attentive.

We spent three nights at this LHW hotel on our first tourist visit to Nimes, at the end of August 2025. The property has a lovely feel, with what struck me as a blend of Art Nouveau and Mediterranean design. Emma had been in touch before we arrived to arrange things, welcomed us warmly, and showed us around. The location is excellent, with Maison Carree and the Arena a short walk away. With luggage, though, an Uber makes more sense from Nimes train station because of the distance. Our executive room had enough space for three nights and looked out toward Roman tower ruins in the distance. Breakfast was included in our rate. We especially liked the neatly cut pineapple and melon, and the French toast from the menu was yummy. We also enjoyed our daily chats with Denis, the older gentleman at the concierge desk by the entrance. I can't remember his name for certain, but he was friendly and professional. The young man at the outdoor pool was cheerful and kind too. There is also an indoor heated pool, which we used every day, as well as the outdoor one. Two things kept this from being an easy five-star rating. The shower pressure in our room started strong and then dropped off, especially compared with the powerful shower by the indoor pool. Reception sent someone to fix it while we were out, and I appreciate that, but the pressure was still low. Since it was a short stay and we were out of Nimes most of the time, we left it as it was. Also, after heavy rain in the days before our visit, plaster was falling from the ceiling around the restaurant and bar, and water was dripping. It wasn't a nice thing to see. Overall rating: 4.2/5.
