The owners made us feel so welcome, and breakfast might be the best we’ve had in France. They also pointed us to Le P Tit Rouquin, a bistro that became one of our trip highlights. Our stay at maison 19 was short, but the room, bed, and shower were all fantastic, and the view was fabulous. It felt really luxurious. We’d love to come back. Niort is a hidden gem too.

The Terrazzo Room at La Maison 19 was both stylish and comfortable. I slept better than I can remember sleeping at a hotel, thanks to the wonderfully luxurious bed and linens. The bathroom caught my eye too, with terrazzo and beautifully laid tiles finished with terracotta grout. Even the toiletries smelled lovely. I’d happily live here. It was a real luxury stay.

Laurence and Luc were fantastic hosts, and the breakfast was delicious. We only got to spend one night at La Maison 19 last week, which was a shame. That bed was so comfortable, and I slept better there than anywhere else on our travels in France. I’d definitely recommend it.

The homemade breads and jams at breakfast were delicious, and the couple running the B&B were kind and attentive while giving us room to enjoy the garden and our meal. We found everything clean and nicely decorated. The city center, river path, and train station were all walkable, and the nearby free bus lines were easy to figure out for longer trips. We were there for a wedding, so that was handy. I’d recommend this place to Europeans and Americans alike.

We really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, especially the homemade organic jams. Luc and Laurence were gracious, knowledgeable hosts, and the guesthouse itself was charming and peaceful. The accommodation and the welcome were both exceptional.
