We had such a lovely time at the Licorne Relais. Béatrice is a brilliant pastry chef, and the welcome was just perfect. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated, too. We’d happily recommend staying the night or stopping for a treat in its adorable tea room.

Right in the heart of Nointel, between the castle and the church, Le Relais de la Licorne is a beautifully restored historic house with a setting that feels both traditional and distinctive. I enjoyed a homemade Saint-Honoré cake with Sencha tea there. Depending on the season and festivities, visitors can also take part in wonderful medieval celebrations, sometimes with period music and costumes. Congratulations to Eric and Béatrice on opening the guesthouse and tea room, and wishing them all the best!

The setting between Nointel church, the castle, and its outbuildings is just right for tea or coffee with delicious homemade pastries. Whether you come alone with a good book or with family, everything’s there for a pleasant visit.

The guest room is decorated with real taste, and the quiet, tucked-away location makes it easy to unwind. We were greeted warmly and treated to lovely tea and tempting little cakes. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you want to discover the charming village of Nointel. Arlette Bosch
