Logis Hôtel la Mollinière

The food was great, and the owner was lovely. It's a historic hotel and restaurant in Bellecombe, definitely worth recommending.

The hotel's location is good, which makes the rest all the more disappointing. Our room was noisy because it sat under the terrace, and we had to switch on the heating ourselves when we arrived. Service was very poor. And €15 per person for breakfast is outrageous, there was nothing to justify that price.

The welcome was warm, and the location is great for families, with the ski resort right across the street. But the food was a real letdown. At our New Year's Eve dinner for 13, we weren't asked to choose until 5 pm, and the only options were fondue or beef. Even with only a few tables occupied, service dragged on until 2 am, and we couldn't all eat together. The fondue was €32, with charcuterie costing another €18. That felt inconsistent with the price, though they applied a discount after we raised it. The dishes themselves were clearly not good, which made the evening even more disappointing. Breakfast at €15 was very poor value: a frozen croissant, butter, and coffee or tea, with hardly any choice. The food needs a complete overhaul, even though the location and welcome were excellent.
