Tucked away in a quiet corner of the Languedoc area of France, this little hotel has fewer than 15 rooms and a fantastic restaurant. There are also two fig trees, which I raided every day. Stay here and book the restaurant. Even if you don’t stay, book the restaurant!

A big merci to Margaret for making my time at La Palombe so lovely. I came to France for work, not a holiday, but she and the staff made me feel as if I were on one. They were so friendly and accommodating, and I was really pleased with the service. I’ve never felt so welcomed, so I’ll definitely be back. I feel I have no choice! If you’re visiting the south of France, La Palombe is the place to stay. The restaurant is lovely too, with friendly staff and food and drinks at reasonable prices. Keep up the good work!
