Berbi Rosse

It’s a lovely guesthouse in a charming village, though fairly remote, and a great base for hiking. The rooms are comfortable, the host is kind and very attentive, and breakfast was yummy. I’d happily return anytime. The access drive could use some improvement. Thank you!

The host was really nice and available, and otherwise we had a very nice stay. But when we got back from our day in the Desert, we found there was no hot water in our room. He apologized, but didn’t fix it or even try to. The cold shower is why I’m giving two stars.

The owner knows the area well, is very kind, speaks English and French, and gave us excellent travel tips. The place has a quiet, relaxing, family feel. Breakfast was very good, with bread and crepes, homemade jam and butter, juice, filter coffee, teas, and milk. You can book it the day before. Our bedroom had a bed and a cot, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There’s also a microwave, coffee pod machine, refrigerator, sheets, and towels. Cleanliness could be better. The bathroom had no door, only curtains, but if you want privacy you can wait outside at the tables. There’s a garden with tables and chairs for meals, secure shaded parking, and access along a short concrete and dirt road that was easy even on a motorbike, with the owner’s directions. There were a few bugs outside, which is normal in the countryside. There’s a pool, though we didn’t use it.

We really appreciated the peaceful, nature-filled setting and the lovely terrace for snacks or meals. The rooms were very comfortable, with air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a microwave, and the bedding was excellent. The hosts were delightful and very helpful, and we thought it was excellent value for money. It’s ideally placed near Saint-Florent, at the foot of Cap Corse, and close to Bastia. Thanks again for the stay and for being so responsive. Highly recommended!
