Les Gîtes du Cap Corse

We loved having a sea view from the terrace, with paths going up to the village and down to the beach. It’s a great base for exploring Cap Corse. Our chalet at "Gîtes du Cap Corse" had everything in good shape, from the equipment and amenities to the bedding, and it was clean throughout our four nights. There are a lot of insects around, flies, wasps, hornets and mosquitoes, since it’s a wild setting. We were glad there were fans, because there’s no air conditioning and it gets unbearable in very hot weather. The place was clean, though the freezer hadn’t been defrosted, even though that’s supposed to be done when leaving. We stayed two nights, and the welcome was great. We got all the information we needed to have a pleasant stay.

Amandine and Stan were welcoming hosts, thanks to them! We were a group of nine and stayed four nights. The four apartments in the same house are comfortable and well equipped, and each has its own nicely separated, shaded wooden terrace. Very cozy, and we’d definitely come back. I highly recommend this gîte.

Getting there by car is the downside, the road up to the cottage is very steep. But the cottage itself is pleasant, with a lovely terrace over the maquis shrubland. A pretty path leads to the sea, and just a few minutes from the accommodation there’s a river with a large, secluded pool.
