The woods around the cabin were beautiful, and it made for a really lovely stay for my friend and me. It’s simple, but has the basics covered. We got in late and the host had already switched on the heater for us, which was so kind.

David was a wonderful host and helped us with anything we needed, from arranging a taxi over the phone to making a delicious curry. We ended up in the area because of car trouble, and he kindly found space for us and our dog and got the cottage ready. Being surrounded by nature was a little paradise for our dog. The car and ANWB hassle was no fun, but the stay with David was fantastic. We’d love to come back, hopefully without car trouble next time ❤️❤️🤣

We spent two nights with these lovely people after getting lost in the region. We hadn’t booked the first night, but they let us camp on their land for free and even brought us food and drinks. The owner and his family made us feel so welcome. It was peaceful and magical, surrounded by animals and nature, far from the city. My sweetheart and I camped beside a beautiful river. A huge thank you to the owner and his family for such a fabulous time.

We were sad to leave Midsel and David after two days with this lovely couple. The stay was a real human connection, with time to relax to birdsong and immerse ourselves in nature. Their cozy little cabin in the middle of the forest felt magical, and their kindness helped restore our faith in people. We highly recommend it and hope to return soon. Lots of love, Dylan and Iris ❤️
