The couple running the hotel gave us a warm welcome, and the food and drinks were great. The terrace is nicely designed, with a tent for sunny weather, and there’s beautiful nature around the hotel. It’s also in a prime spot, close to the tourist attractions. I felt right at home: the room was neat, clean, spacious, air-conditioned, well equipped, and had a high-quality, comfortable bed. I recommend it.

This place felt hostile, not hospitable. I’m 67 and can’t walk 10 metres without a stick. After I booked and paid online, we arrived at 15:30 and found the parking locked. I used the intercom to ask to be let in, and was snapped at that the hotel didn’t open until 16:30, though that wasn’t in the confirmation. The receptionist came out, swearing and shouting insults from behind the parking fence. I said we’d come back when it opened, but he yelled that we shouldn’t check in at all. Half an hour later, I got an email saying the booking was cancelled for “threatening behaviour” and threatening to call the gendarme if we tried to check in.

I was passing through for work and found the location great, with a very pleasant welcome. The room was comfortable and really nice. Breakfast had lots of homemade items, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend it, and I’ve saved the address in my travel journal!
