La Cascade

The morning café service was friendly, with coffee and a croissant available, which is why I gave it a second star. The room itself had little to recommend beyond the clean shower water and a nice swan folded from towels on the bed. Even with the heat turned all the way up, it stayed cold, probably because a draft came through a poorly sealed window. There was also a really unpleasant smell around the entrance and hallway, though I couldn’t tell where it came from.

We spotted the outdoor sign while driving and stopped for lunch on a Sunday. The welcome was warm, the food came quickly, and it was delicious. The set menu with coffee cost 18 euros, an unbeatable price. We’d happily come back 😃

We stayed one night at this small, clean, welcoming hotel. The managers’ son gave us a friendly welcome and was professional, attentive, and full of good advice. The evening sandwiches were a letdown, though. At 5 euros each, they were just bread with no butter, two small pieces of ham, and a pickle.

The chef’s friendly and a really good cook. For 15 euros, you get a starter, main course, dessert, and wine, and the food is very good. It’s a lovely place, with the best part out back, and it’s not a roadside diner. A good stop if you’re taking the A88 toward Toulouse.
