La Petite Finlande

On our walking tour, we stopped here and got a warm welcome. The decor was lovely, and there were horses, geese, reindeer, dogs, cats... Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and local products. If you’re into peace and nature, this is the place.

I was given a voucher for an activity, but haven’t been able to book it. I called and emailed and still got no reply. The online calendar isn’t up to date either, so avoid this site if you’re thinking of giving someone a voucher.

The two-hour tour felt so personal and engaging that we would happily have stayed longer. Frédéric told us about his life through fascinating, authentic stories, which made the visit even more moving. My wife, our two children, and I had an absolutely magical time at La Petite Finlande, surrounded by mountains and incredible views. We met his three beautiful reindeer, dozens of dogs, and his horses in a truly special natural setting. Frédéric, the owner, welcomed us with a smile, infectious enthusiasm, and loads of wonderful anecdotes. We felt right at home. He and his wife also run a gîte and guest rooms, and we’d definitely stay there if we return to the region. Highly recommended. Thanks again to Frédéric and his wife for such a lovely time. The dog hike was top-notch, and the dogs themselves were magnificent, gentle, and very affectionate. We also had lovely encounters with the other guests staying in the various rooms and cottage. What a peaceful little haven, with magnificent accommodation from the living room to the bedroom. A timeless break, thank you so much for those fabulous moments. Everything was perfect.
