VVF Alsace Orbey Colmar

There’s plenty of room around the resort for different leisure activities, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had varied meals, with hot dishes brought to the table, unlimited cheese, and breakfasts offering both sweet and savory options. The rooms were spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the balcony was quiet. The welcome was very warm. I’d highly recommend this VVF.

The location has parking, and it was useful to be able to pay separately for meals since there aren’t many other places to eat nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is large. Still, I was disappointed. From the photos I expected something nicer, but the rooms are very basic and don’t look like the pictures. The place seems well maintained, yet it was only somewhat clean when I arrived, and nobody cleaned during my four-day stay. There’s no daily room cleaning. It was crowded too, fully booked in December, and the pool is very small. Prices feel high for what you get. The basics provided were toilet paper, soap, and a TV, with no hair dryer. The blankets in the closet were used and dirty, although the ones on the bed seemed clean. Food isn’t included, but can be bought separately.

The resort had a real energy this time, and my December 2025 experience was much better than late 2024. The activities manager was great at offering options for different levels and sharing historical knowledge. It was lovely to see Mimi back at reception, looking so happy. I had an excellent stay thanks to Gregory and his team. A few things could be improved: the wardrobe in room 215, if I remember right, was warped and too small; there were some dust bunnies, and the shower temperature was impossible to keep steady. The pool water was cool.

The meals were generous and delicious, and we had a wonderful time. We found a beautiful region and visited charming villages that were still beautifully decorated after the Christmas festivities. The welcome was very warm, and the staff were incredibly attentive.
