B&B Hotel Orléans Centre Foch

For my overnight stop while travelling from Spain to Germany, this hotel was a great choice. The staff were very kind and spoke English really well, and the room was clean. There's private hotel parking for €8, and the location makes it an easy, pleasant walk to the city center in just a few minutes. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Orleans.

The staff were rude and unhelpful, and the room was tiny. The bathroom was so cramped that on the toilet my knees were under the sink and against the wall. Horrible.

The bathroom walls and shower were mouldy. Then, the day before our trip, they told us there was no room for us in the car park, even though we'd requested a space two months before arriving. Save yourself the disappointment and book somewhere else.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel left me glad we only stayed one night. The bathroom was tiny, with nowhere to dry off after a shower except by stepping into the main room. The beds had what I think were memory foam toppers, which gave me hot spots and made it hard to sleep well. Drinks, especially beer, were terribly overpriced, and the evening meal and breakfast were only adequate, though both could be better. The hotel was clean enough, but the outside needs sprucing up, the reception and lounge flooring is coming apart, and the chairs look shabby, with their covers peeling away. I don't understand the shabby chic approach, and these felt like they'd come from the local tip. Upcycling at its worst. Sorry, Ibis, we won't be back.
