The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was good for the price. The studio room had a little kitchen with a two-burner hob, fridge and sink. The decor’s somewhat old-fashioned. It’s on a main road but reasonably quiet, and about a 17-minute walk from the main train station or town centre.
8/10
Getting the keys after hours was easy, the instructions came by email. The rooms are a decent size and clean, but look like they haven’t been refurbished in decades. There’s no air-conditioning, and even in June they get unbearably hot and are hard to sleep in. The only cooling provided is a small desk fan.
10/10
The room was very warm, but they provided a fan and it helped. It was ideal for what I needed, very clean, and the price was great.
6/10
It’s cheap, but this isn’t a good hotel if you want an uninterrupted night’s sleep. I hate the emergency vehicles roaring by at night. In my country there’s something called “night quiet time,” and I don’t think anyone here cares about it. It happened repeatedly, around 02:00 and 04:00. Each time the emergency car only roared for a few seconds, but it was right under the windows, which aren’t fully soundproof. The noise came straight into the room. I’d like to know what kind of geek designed those windows.
2/10
It’s ridiculous that this accommodation still has 3 stars. The place is completely run down, and I’ve never seen maintenance this bad.
