The parking entrance is terrifyingly narrow, but there are plenty of restaurants on the same street and spots nearby where you can admire the river. The hotel itself isn’t much to look at, though the rooms are fairly large, the beds are comfortable, and the shower pressure is good. It worked well for a night’s rest before moving on. Breakfast was a bit disappointing.

I stayed at the Hôtel de la Vallée on a business trip to Ornans, and the changes since the new owner took over really surprised me. Everything has improved. The common areas feel welcoming, and there’s a much warmer atmosphere than before. My room had been fully renovated with modern, stylish decor, a very comfortable bed, and amenities that worked well for a business stay. The welcome was professional, and the team were helpful and attentive to details. It feels like they’re genuinely trying to make guests’ stays better. A very good place to stay in Ornans for work or a holiday. I highly recommend it.
