B&B HOTEL Strasbourg Sud Ostwald

Breakfast felt overpriced to me: it was served in a cramped area and there wasn’t much variety. The room was smaller than at other B&B hotels, and the sound insulation was poor, with rattling noises from other rooms continuing until midnight. We’d booked a non-smoking room, but the one we stayed in had a strong cigarette smell.

We were cycle touring, and they gave us a ground-floor room with enough space to keep our bikes safely. I really appreciated that 🙏. The hotel also has the usual drinks and snacks machine and a microwave. Great staff and hotel, and I’d definitely stay again and recommend it.

The room looked nice, but there was no electricity in it. None of the lamps worked, and I couldn’t charge anything from the outlets. The signs inside the hotel were so confusing and unhelpful too. For 100€ a night, I expected more. I wouldn’t recommend staying longer than one night.

The online check-in was really handy since we arrived quite late. They emailed us a code for both the main door and our room. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was nice, mostly sweet things but with scrambled eggs and some bacon too. The room was small, but it was enough, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean, the towels were changed every day, and the air conditioning was a real blessing in the summer heat. It’s outside the city, but you can drive to the centre in 15 minutes at most. I don’t know what public transport is like. For the price, this was a very nice hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised because I hadn’t expected much. Highly recommend it!
