The service was very friendly and accommodating, and the bed was really comfortable. The room itself was quite basic, though, and the other furniture and fittings weren’t great. For one night, arriving late and leaving early, it worked well apart from the very thin walls. I wouldn’t choose it as a base for a holiday.

We only stopped for a quick bite on the way to the ferry, but the place was without doubt the worst spot we ate at in France. The fish and chips were greasy and overcooked, the calzone was burnt outside and raw inside, and the service was rude and inattentive. The exit door was the only thing to like.

It’s an affordable hotel close to the port, with clean rooms and kind, helpful staff. The restaurant serves good French dishes. Parking isn’t great, but I travel by bike and they took good care of it. A good place to stay when visiting the D Day museums and monuments. Recommended.

We arrived very late, but the manager had left a room key for us, so we could get some sleep. They were very helpful and let us have a few extra hours to catch up before our late ferry. All in all, a good experience.

A lovely place to stay, though the hotel is a little tired. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the restaurant next door was brilliant, with great staff, very good food and generous portions. It’s also a good base for visiting the history and sites of WW2.
