Chambres dHtes Roseland

The hosts paid close attention to what we needed, and we could use the pool. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with the air conditioning already on when we arrived. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend it.

The room worked well enough for a night on the way to our holiday destination. Breakfast was basic but adequate, and although the hostess was pleasant and welcoming, she doesn’t accept credit cards. It’s a family room made from an attic, furnished with salvaged materials and short on finishing touches. The staircase is very steep, so it wouldn’t suit anyone with mobility issues. The square shower is narrow, though the water pressure and temperature were excellent. The skylight curtains let in quite a bit of light, and we could still hear a little traffic from the nearby dual carriageway.

Breakfast was very good, and the stay was good value for money. The room was rustic but did the job for a stopover. Our double bed was a bit worn, which brought down my rating.

The creaky parquet floor and decor were nice, and the setting itself was fine. But there was a persistent dusty smell, the mattress was far too soft, and the paper sheets irritated me. Hot water took 15 minutes to come back between showers. The hostess also asked us to pay cash and cancel our booking.com reservation so she could avoid the fees. We refused. In short, go elsewhere.
