Architect's Flat - 44m2 - MontMartre

The apartment is nicely decorated and has a lot of potential, and the staff member who handled cleaning and helped at reception was very kind throughout our stay. The location is convenient, though getting around the neighborhood with a stroller and small child can be challenging. We had requested a crib in advance, but it wasn’t there when we arrived. It came only after I followed up, too late for my baby to use it that night. We also kept the air conditioning off because it smelled strongly of mold when switched on, and used the electric heater instead. The dishwasher smelled unpleasant too, probably because it needed a deep clean. A bit more attention to cleanliness and service could make this a perfect place to stay.

It’s in a quiet area, close to busy streets full of bars and restaurants. The location is good, but reception was hard to manage. The online key card didn’t work, and the French phone number you need to call for help went unanswered.

Of all the hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe, this one’s the best.

The only good thing was the location. Everything else was a catastrophic experience. Our apartment wasn’t ready at the scheduled 4 pm check-in. We were first asked to wait outside in the rain with our 6-year-old, then sent to another apartment that was already occupied, with people’s luggage and belongings still inside. Completely unacceptable and disrespectful. The apartment we were eventually given was clearly dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. We didn’t get access until 7:10 pm, after waiting over three hours. That cut into our stay and wasted time we’d paid for. The receptionist spoke English and Turkish, but not French. Fortunately, I speak English, or this would have been even more complicated. The manager was unpleasant and evasive, with no solutions. A blatant lack of professionalism. Absolutely avoid this place.
