Avenir Vaugirard Hotel

The rooms were so dirty and unlike the online photos that staying there wasn't possible; we had to book somewhere else immediately. We had booked through super.com, and the hotel ignored both of our emails asking it to confirm the cancellation. When my wife went in person, the manager was very rude and wouldn't help, saying it was super.com's responsibility. Our refund is still blocked because of this. It was a terrible experience. The hotel is dishonest and unprofessional, and I strongly recommend avoiding it.

We had a busy itinerary and booked three nights with friends just to have somewhere to sleep. For that, this was one of the best options for the money. It's among the cheaper hotels in a nice residential area, near the metro, shops, and cafés. The rooms are old, but were cleaned quite well, and the staff were very friendly and ready to help.

The staff were helpful and polite, and I'd stay here again. It's a small hotel in a good neighborhood, very close to a metro station that goes directly to Place Concorde, Saint Lazare shopping area, and Montmartre. The place could use renovation.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and leaving the key at reception when going out was fine with me. Still, I wouldn't recommend the hotel. It's cheap and close to the Expo center, but a little more money could get you a much better place. This felt like a 1-star hotel, not a 2-star one. I stayed Thursday through Sunday. The building is old and worn out, my room was cold with no heating on the floor, and there was nowhere to put the shower head. The hallways smelled of cigarettes, the walls were so thin every noise came through loudly, and the room itself was pretty dirty.
