B&B HOTEL Paris Porte des Lilas

I’m still at B&B Hôtel Porte de Lilas with two nights left, and management hasn’t contacted me yet. The whole experience has been very disappointing. I checked into room 607 and found the sink wouldn’t drain at all. It filled up and overflowed straight away, so I couldn’t even brush my teeth. On Thursday I tried calling the front desk, but the room phone didn’t work. I reported it in person the next morning and was told they’d take care of it. When I got back late that night, nothing had changed. I went downstairs again and talked with Alias, the night auditor. He was the only one who acted professionally. He said there was no maintenance available and, since it was Saturday by then, moving rooms was the only option. I had to shift all my things in the middle of the night. I’ve spent over 10 years in hospitality leadership, and I’ve never seen a basic repair issue left alone for two days, especially one affecting something as essential as running water. This isn’t the level of service a hotel should provide. Worst experience ever, from someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for over 12 years.

The staff were the one good part of our stay, very friendly. But our room was uncomfortable day and night because it stayed extremely hot even after we changed the temperature settings. Opening the window didn’t help since it wouldn’t stay open. The bathroom was tiny, and we only had one thin towel. Several times, someone opened our door while we were still asleep. The room conditions need serious improvement.

The room was in great shape and had everything you could need, and the price for the quality was excellent. It was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The place felt innovative and efficient, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and ready to help with requests. They really did their best. Service was splendid, and it was good to see efforts toward being more eco-friendly. Breakfast was good value too, though a couple of vegetables like cucumber and tomato would have made it just right. We loved our time here. Fantastic stay, highly recommended.

The rooms were really nice, and having 2-in-1 shower wash was handy since we only brought a small bag. The en-suite was basic and the shower pressure wasn’t great, but it was fine. All three elevators worked smoothly. There’s a smoking area, a microwave, and vending machines with toothbrushes, snacks, and pastries, which was a nice touch. The coffee machine was good too. The rooms could use a bit more decorating, maybe some paintings.
