The building isn’t luxurious, but we felt comfortable there, and for the reasonable price it was fine. The hotel is very accessible, with the hospital, Gare de Lyon, restaurants, bus stops, and metro stations all close by. The staff were lovely, especially the woman at the front desk, who helped us figure out how to get places. When my son got sick, she made several calls to the doctor and hospital so he could be seen.

The staff seemed friendly at first, but when a problem came up they became very unpleasant. I booked and paid them directly for a room with a toilet, then was given one without. I raised it several times and asked for the price difference back, but they only offered a discount or free breakfast on a future visit. I feel cheated and think they were dishonest. Three of us had the same issue on that trip, and we lost 80€ altogether. That’s unacceptable.

It’s an okay place for one night. The room was clean and nice, though the toilet was shared with three other rooms in the corridor. There was no WiFi, and no elevator either. My room was on the fifth floor, up a very narrow staircase.

I arrived at 11 PM in the middle of the week and only then learned they had cancelled my reservation because of a technical problem with the website I used. They had already charged the full amount, and the booking was non-refundable. Nobody from the hotel had warned me, and the guy at reception had no idea what to do. They were no help at all in finding me another place to stay. My expectations were low, but this was a nightmare. Don’t risk it.
