Edgar Suites - Residence Bouchardon

The rooms look very nice, just like the pictures. That’s about the only good thing I can say. This isn’t actually in le Marais. It’s not extremely far away, but Strasbourg St Denis, the closest subway station, is a better description of the area. There were two odd, somewhat aggressive homeless people living under the porch, with bottles and mattresses piled up. It felt extremely unsafe, and it’s baffling that the hotel did nothing. Staff basically told us there was nothing they could do. The entrance keypad is also extremely loud. It makes a long, ear-piercing beep when the right PIN is entered, and you can hear it from the room. Every time a guest or staff member comes in, there’s another round of beeping. Pretty annoying and potentially nerve-racking.

The apartment itself is a dream, beautifully designed and so much nicer than an ordinary hotel room. It felt like stepping into Architectural Digest, with all the comfort and elegance you could want. The location in the 10th arrondissement is lovely and close to Le Marais, with a boulangerie, grocery, and plenty of restaurants right outside. It felt like living in Paris rather than just visiting. What made the stay unforgettable was the team. Every interaction felt professional but personal, like talking with a friend. They were warm, responsive, and thoughtful about the details. This was the best accommodation I’ve ever had in Paris. I’m completely loyal to Edgar Suites now, will look at their properties in other cities, and already know where I’ll stay on my next Paris trip. Highly recommended!

The neighborhood was nice and the apartment was great. The kitchenette is small, so it’s not suited to extensive cooking, but it has everything needed for breakfast. Having two bathrooms was a huge luxury with teenagers, and the free laundry room in the basement came in handy. Everything was organized and professional. When we asked for an extra towel, someone brought it over quickly. Recommended.

We had a very happy stay in Paris and can’t wait to come back. The apartment is compact, modern, spotless, and furnished with great attention to detail. It’s quiet and felt safe, with metro stations nearby and the main landmarks within walking distance. The Edgar Suites team were excellent to communicate with from the moment we booked. They were happy to accommodate our early arrival and late departure, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. What a gem, highly recommended!
