Citadines Les Halles Paris

One thing to know: our room faced a pretty square and fountain, but Saturday night there was loud enough to hear through the closed windows until 5 am. Sunday was quiet by 10 pm, so the difference between those nights was dramatic. We picked the hotel for the Metro connections to Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, both just steps away. After a long flight, the front desk got us into the room quickly, welcomed us warmly, and suggested places to eat nearby. The place was spotlessly clean, with two pleasant areas where we could relax and have free coffee. That came in handy when jet lag had me awake at 4:30 am. Our room had a mini kitchen, though we mostly used the kettle and fridge. Having the extra space was nice in a city where rooms can be tiny. The bedding and pillows were good, and the bathroom was nice. The breakfast buffet had quality French food, more good coffee, wonderful pastries, and butter that made me want to move to France. I could easily have stayed a month.

The reception team made our family feel welcome and looked after. They were kind and professional, and their warmth made the stay feel special and secure in a busy city. My family stayed five days and my brother’s family stayed six, and both visits went smoothly. Getting around was easy, with two major Metro stations practically at the door and six lines between them. We often didn’t need to transfer, and plenty of Paris landmarks were an easy walk away. The neighbourhood has charming bistros, a local bakery, pharmacies, and large supermarkets including Monoprix and Intermarché. For a Paris visit, especially with children, this hotel was a great mix of convenience, comfort, and class. We’d choose it again without hesitation. Thanks to the whole team for making our holiday so memorable.

We could hear a low hum from trains passing through the station, especially at night. It didn’t disturb our sleep, but a very light sleeper might find it bothersome. The location is handy for getting to both Metro and RER lines. The room looked modern and contemporary, with a practical layout and plenty of usable counter space in the kitchen. The shower was large, though it took up room that would otherwise have gone to the sink and toilet.

The shower was a highlight: it has three outlets that can run at once, which made for a really enjoyable wash. One awkward bit is that the bathroom door opens right against the toilet, so it can get in the way if someone is using it and you need to grab something. Towels aren’t changed daily either, so you have to ask for fresh ones. We had a comfortable stay. The room was well equipped, with a kitchen, plenty of utensils, and even a dishwasher. In the lobby there’s complimentary coffee and water, plus comfortable sofas. We arrived around noon expecting just to leave our luggage, but when I asked about checking in early, they let us go straight to the room. I’d definitely recommend the hotel.
